Ce projet interroge la notion de confort moderne dans l’habitat et propose de nouvelles hypothèses et manières d’habiter.
En lien avec la modernité et les nouvelles technologies, l’habitat se transforme à travers plusieurs éléments constitutifs de cet espace: l’espace en lui même, l’accès à l’eau, l’apport de lumière et de chaleur.
This project questions the notion of modern comfort in home and proposes new hypotheses and ways of living.
In connection with modernity and new technologies, the habitat is transformed through several components of this space: the space itself, access to water, the provision of light and heat.
l’espace
Polypropylène tissé, bois exotique,

A travers un jeu de modules praticables, l’espace standard est déconstruit pour créer un rapport inhabituel du corps à l’espace. Les modules de différentes hauteurs viennent se combiner, se superposer pour créer des strates, des dénivellations au sein desquelles le corps vient s’y positionner de manière intuitive.
Le plafond prend part, lui aussi, à cette déconstruction. Il se compose de plusieurs couches de mousse acoustique qui emprisonnent le son, créant ainsi un nouveau confort sonore.
Through a set of modules, the standard space is deconstructed to create an unusual relationship between body and space. The modules of different heights come to combine, superimpose themselves to create layers, unevenness in which the body comes to position itself intuitively. The ceiling take also part in this deconstruction. It consists of several layers of acoustic foam that trap the sound, creating a new sound comfort.
l’eau

L’accès à l’eau se fait en relation avec l’environnement extérieur grâce à un élément placé dans la membrane de l’habitat (le mur).
Il permet de capter l’eau présent dans l’humidité de l’air et de la transformer en eau potable.
Il est destiné aux régions souffrant de problème d’accès à l’eau mais où le taux d’humidité est très important, notamment l’Indonésie.
Un système d’alvéoles en polypropylène permet la condensation, l’eau est ensuite traitée par un filtre en céramique puis conservée dans un réservoir fermé. On y accède directement depuis l’intérieur de l’habitat par un robinet. Cet objet permet un apport vital d’eau de manière constante, directement dans l’habitat,
et de manière individuelle pour chaque famille.
Access to water is related to the external environment through an element placed in the membrane of the habitat (the wall).
It captures the water present in the air humidity and turn it into drinking water.
It is intended for regions suffering of access to water problems but where the humidity level is very important, in particular Indonesia.
A system of polypropylene cells allows condensation, the water is then treated with a ceramic filter and then stored in a closed tank. It is accessed directly from the interior of the habitat by a tap. This object allows a vital supply of water in a constant way, directly in the habitat,
and individually for each family.
lumière et chaleur
Tissu, Leds, fils conducteurs, composants Arduino Lilypad, perles en céramique, résistances.
Dans un habitat standard, la lumière et la chaleur sont traitées de manière la plus homogène possible. Ici, on ne chauffe pas et on n’éclaire pas tout. Ces fonctions sont directement liées au corps. Ainsi des objets-accessoires viennent se placer sur le corps et grâce à des tissus techniques, ils permettent de chauffer le corps lui même (par des perles en céramique diffusant la chaleur) ou d’éclairer les activités et déplacements du corps (par un tissu incluant des Leds et des fibres optiques).
In a standard habitat, light and heat are treated in the most homogeneous way possible. Here, we do not heat and we do not enlighten everything. These functions are directly related to the body. Thus objects-accessories are placed on the body and thanks to technical fabrics, they allow to heat the body itself (by ceramic beads diffusing heat) or to illuminate the body activities and movements (by a fabric including LEDs and optical fibers).
